Yarn Bombing
in the heart of Kerikeri
About
Yarn Bombing is a form of temporary street art where structures are covered in knitted or crocheted yarn. It creates vibrant social spaces that are engaging, attractive and stimulating. It also provides an opportunity for the community to showcase their crafts and skills while encouraging others.
With the colourful hanging baskets being retired over the winter period, this mid-year Yarn Bombing initiative will provide a much needed pop of colour in the CBD and talking point for locals and visitors.

THE YARN BOMBING COMPETITION
Entries have now closed, giving time for our talented community to knit and crochet some amazing creations.
These creations will be installed in late June and will be on display for a few months before being replaced with hanging baskets.
